This is an important milestone for us and we are grateful for the encouragement and support we have received to make this happen. NIO’s evangelist and former journalist Claudio Afonso (@AfonsoEV_ on Twitter) has noted NIO is proud of their accomplishment and is celebrating giving thanks to its users for reaching this milestone.
As of recent stats, Nio has 11 power swaps in Europe, with 6 power swaps opening soon. A NIO Power Swap Station is the size of a double garage box and can perform up to 312 ‘swaps’ per day. The station charges up to 13 batteries with a output of 20 to 80kW, in a way that protects the power grid and the batteries, without causing spikes in the power grid.
