Today, Lotus Technology Inc., a renowned global luxury electric vehicle manufacturer, successfully achieved its inaugural delivery of Eletre, their first-ever fully electric hyper SUV. To commemorate this momentous occasion, Lotus Tech organized a delivery ceremony at the Shanghai International Circuit F1 track, coinciding with the Lotus brand’s 75th anniversary.
Eletre represents the culmination of Lotus’s 75 years of racing heritage and engineering expertise, combining luxury and performance seamlessly. Among its remarkable features are top-notch aerodynamics and design, along with cutting-edge technologies like fully integrated L4-ready hardware and the world’s first deployable LiDAR system. The vehicle operates on Lotus’s proprietary 800-volt Electrical Performance Architecture, offering a thrilling sportscar-like driving experience and supporting Lotus Tech’s 420-kilowatt supercharging solution. Remarkably, by January 31, 2023, Lotus had already received more than 5,000 orders for Eletre from customers worldwide.
This first delivery of Eletre signifies a significant milestone for Lotus as it moves forward with its transformation into an advanced, fully electric, intelligent, and sustainable luxury mobility provider, setting its sights on its 80th anniversary in 2028. The company is presently expanding deliveries across China, with plans to initiate deliveries in the UK and EU later this year. Additionally, Lotus Tech is actively strategizing for future deliveries to the U.S. and other global markets, leveraging the strength of its brand’s widespread international network.
Mr. Qingfeng Feng, the Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Tech, expressed, “Eletre is a crucial part of our plan to establish Lotus as a truly global electric car brand. As pioneers in the decarbonization of luxury automobiles, the successful delivery of Eletre showcases our ability to lead the energy transition and guide the industry towards a more sustainable future.”
