Back in January, Nio president Qin Lihong said on l that the company will roll out a beta test for its first smartphone to a selected group of car owners in the second quarter of 2023 and likely launch the phone in the third quarter. The Chinese electric vehicle maker plans to adopt a similar strategy to Apple, releasing one smartphone a year, chief executive William Li told reporters in July of 2022.
