Kia has once again demonstrated its expertise in delivering exceptional electrified vehicles, with both the all-electric 2023 Kia EV6 and the 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid receiving recognition in the “2023 Best Hybrid and Electric Car” awards by U.S. News and World Report. The EV6 has been named “Best Electric Vehicle” for the second year in a row, while the Niro Hybrid has been awarded “Best Hybrid SUV” for the first time.
Steven Center, COO & EVP, Kia America, expressed pride in Kia’s achievement, stating that “Kia continues to advance the art of delivering exceptional electrified vehicles.”
U.S. News selected the winners based on a range of factors, including their overall scores in the U.S. News Best Car Rankings, starting prices, charging rates, and EPA-estimated fuel economy and range data. Over 100 new vehicles were considered for the awards.
The EV6, a leader in Kia’s Plan S strategy, offers impressive performance, ultra-fast DC charging compatibility, onboard power generator, and a flat-floor interior featuring innovative materials throughout the cabin. The Niro Hybrid boasts bold design inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy and is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 32kW permanent magnet synchronous electric motor.
Kia’s continued success in delivering exceptional electrified vehicles confirms its position as a leader in the automotive industry.
