As the global debut of BMW’s first electric 5 series sedan, the i5, draws near, anticipation is building. Prior to its official release, a leaked image of the BMW i5 has surfaced, providing an initial glimpse of the electric sedan.

After six years of teasing, the BMW i5 is finally coming to life, marking the German automaker’s entry into the fully electric five series domain. During the annual BMW conference in March, CEO Oliver Zipse previewed the upcoming electric sedan, emphasizing its “truly unique selling point.”
Positioned between the i4 and the luxurious i7, which debuted last year, the i5 is poised to take its rightful place in BMW’s esteemed lineup.
Teasers of camouflaged i5 prototypes emerged last month as they underwent rigorous testing at BMW’s proving grounds in Southern France, signaling that the vehicle was nearing its final stages of development.
However, it was on Thursday that a new image of the highly anticipated BMW i5 surfaced on social media, courtesy of user liucuny-starandcar on Instagram.
