NIO achieved a significant milestone by commencing comprehensive deliveries of products from its second-generation platform NT2.0. In July, a record-breaking month saw over 20,000 vehicle deliveries.
Starting on April 28, NIO initiated deliveries of the EC7, its intelligent electric flagship coupe SUV.
On May 19, NIO introduced deliveries of the 2023 ET7, the smart electric flagship sedan.
May 24 saw the official launch of the All-New ES6, the smart electric all-round SUV, with simultaneous deliveries.
Global launch and deliveries of the smart electric tourer ETST occurred on June 15.
June 28 marked the commencement of deliveries of the All-New ES8, the comprehensive smart electric flagship SUV.
July witnessed NIO setting a new delivery record of 20,462 vehicles. The All-New ES6 achieved over 10,000 deliveries in July, breaking NIO’s monthly record for a single model.
NIO’s Dedication to Innovation:
NIO’s commitment to independent innovation yielded impressive results through R&D investments:
- Core technology research for smart electric vehicles featured forward engineering.
- Ongoing independent innovation resulted in over 7,200 registered and authorized patents worldwide.
- NIO’s Berlin Innovation Center officially opened on July 4.
- On July 12, both NIO’s ET5 and EL7 (ES7 for the Chinese market) earned 5-star Euro NCAP ratings.
- NIO’s ET7 secured the European Plus X Awards in Innovation, High Quality, and Design categories on July 14.
Strategic Equity Investment:
Strategic equity investment came from the Abu Dhabi investment fund:
- Through a share subscription agreement, CYVN Holdings, an Abu Dhabi investment firm, invested around $1.1 billion in July.
- CYVN, majority-owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, focuses on strategic investments in smart and advanced mobility solutions, aiming to collaborate with global leaders.
Advancements in Technology:
NIO NOP+ covered Beijing’s expressways and urban fast roads within the 5th Ring Road:
- On July 10, NIO NOP• advanced assisted driving feature was launched within Beijing’s 5th Ring Road, achieving full coverage on urban ring roads and urban fast roads.
- NIO Power Day 2023 on July 20 introduced the “flexible battery upgrade service by day” and unveiled a 20kW V2G charger.
Global Expansion:
August 17 marked the launch of NIO’s first 3rd-generation Power Swap Station and a 500kW ultra-fast Power Charger station in Sweden.
NIO has established 1,747 Power Swap Stations, 3,010 charging stations, and 17,763 chargers globally, with plans to reach over 2,300 Power Swap Stations and 24,000 NIO Public Chargers by the end of 2023.
Expanding Network:
NIO’s network of sales and service centers continued to grow, including 134 NIO Houses, 286 NIO Spaces, 304 NIO Service Centers, and 58 NIO Delivery Centers worldwide.
