Lotus Technology Inc. (“Lotus Tech”) announced today they introduced Emeya, their latest electric hyper-GT vehicle.
Emeya, the result of 75 years of Lotus’s engineering expertise, marries cutting-edge innovation with luxury performance. Featuring iconic active aerodynamic elements and dual high-power motors, it sprints from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in an astonishing 2.8 seconds, placing it among the fastest electric GTs globally.
Lotus also says the Emeya highlights Lotus Tech’s prowess in charging technology. It can replenish approximately 150km of range in just 5 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger, setting a new standard in charging speed. Sustainability is central to Emeya’s design, with meticulous use of eco-friendly materials aimed at reducing its carbon footprint during production.
Emeya will join Lotus Tech’s lineup of luxury electric vehicles, contributing to the company’s transformation into a fully electric, intelligent, and sustainable luxury mobility provider by 2028. This launch aligns with Lotus’s Vision 80 strategy, following the successful global deliveries of Eletre, their first fully electric hyper SUV.
With over 190 stores in its global retail network and a substantial order backlog, Lotus Tech is gaining momentum. Their roadmap includes the introduction of Type 134, a D-segment BEV SUV, and Type 135, an all-electric sports car, over the next four years, aiming for a 100% BEV portfolio by 2027.
