Nio currently offers a range of vehicles, including the ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, ET7, ET5, and ET5 Touring. Among these models, the first four are SUVs, while the remaining three are sedans.

In the period spanning January to August, Nio achieved the delivery of 94,352 vehicles, indicating a notable 31.86 percent increase compared to the previous year.

As of August 31, Nio’s cumulative vehicle deliveries since its inception have reached an impressive total of 383,908 units.

Nio experienced a temporary reduction in deliveries during August, possibly due to a brief production pause at its F1 plant from late July to early August. This halt was necessary for plant upgrades and enhancements.

The F1 plant underwent a five-day production stoppage from July 29 to August 2 for a production line upgrade, as reported by the local media outlet Caixin.

Nio’s vehicles are manufactured in two facilities located in Hefei, Anhui province, in eastern China. These facilities include the F1 plant, the JAC Nio advanced manufacturing base, and the F2 plant in NeoPark.

To optimize production capacity, the F1 plant has shifted its focus primarily to producing the new ES6, while production of the new ES8 has been relocated to the F2 plant, as outlined in Caixin’s report.

According to Caixin, Nio was achieving a daily production rate of at least 300 ES6 vehicles, and some of its production workshops transitioned from single-shift to two-shift operation.

Nio has plans to introduce and commence deliveries of the EC6, an upgraded mid-size coupe SUV, in September. This addition will complete the full product transition based on the NT 2.0 platform, as announced during an analyst call on August 29 following the release of the second-quarter earnings results.

In its earnings report, the company provided guidance for third-quarter deliveries, aiming for a range of 55,000 to 57,000 units. This projection implies a significant year-on-year growth rate of approximately 74.0 percent to 80.3 percent.
